How many rated load impedance values should be connected, which is a basic parameter of the manufacturer to design the power amplifier. The transistor power amplifier is a low impedance output circuit; and the electronic tube power amplifier is a high impedance output circuit, which is very strict on the impedance value of the speaker. However, the transistor low impedance output power amplifier still puts forward some requirements on the load impedance value. For example, the output load of the original design should be 8 ohms, the ideal power amplifier circuit, and with 16 ohm speakers, the output power is about half, while with 4 ohms of the speaker, the output power is about doubled. But the vast majority of power amplifier is not the ideal top effect, the output resistance is not infinitely small, the amplification loop cannot provide enough large current gain, steady voltage power supply can not provide enough large working current, when the power amplifier access to too low impedance speakers, transient characteristics become bad, distortion will increase, this should have more power output, but not on the power value. For the calibration power amplifier with an external 4-16 ohm load, try to reach the speaker in the median impedance range. When the power amplifier is connected to the speaker above its rated load impedance, the rated output power decreases, with little impact on other performance indicators; but if the power supply voltage margin is not large, overload distortion may have occurred when the above rated power is reached. See that when the impedance does not match, the damping coefficient of the power amplifier may change. The damping coefficient of the power amplifier is the ratio of the power amplifier load resistance value (mainly the speaker impedance value) to the power amplifier output internal resistance.When the impedance value of the speaker changes, the damping coefficient of the power amplifier can change. If the damping coefficient becomes too small, the low frequency characteristics of the speaker, the output sound pressure frequency characteristics, the high harmonic distortion characteristics will become bad, the output audio (especially low audio) bloated and cloudy, accompanied by innocence. If the damping coefficient is too large, it will reduce the low frequency sense, the sound is dry, not rich, but this situation is rare, and the actual replay effect is not affected.
